RCUK Member Chih-Chi Kao Shares New Perspectives on Chronic Kidney Disease Care at the 2026 Taipei Medical Association Conference

On August 8, 2026, Taipei Medical University and Taipei Medical University Hospital jointly hosted the 2026 Taipei Medical Association Conference as part of the hospital’s 50th anniversary academic event series. The conference focused on the applications of artificial intelligence (AI), medical innovation, and robotics in healthcare, fostering interdisciplinary academic exchange.

During the conference, a sponsored satellite symposium supported by Boehringer Ingelheim focused on heart failure and chronic kidney disease (CKD) care, bringing together clinical experts to share their experiences and treatment strategies.

Dr. Chih-Chi Kao, Director of the Division of Nephrology at Taipei Medical University Hospital and a member of RCUK, was invited to speak at the symposium. His presentation, titled “Redefining CKD Management With Jardiance: Extending Renal and Cardiovascular Protection From Early Intervention to Slowing eGFR Decline,” explored management strategies for CKD, including renal and cardiovascular protection, early intervention, and approaches to slowing the decline in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).

RCUK continues to follow developments in kidney disease research and clinical care. Through the academic engagement of its members, the Center promotes the exchange of research findings and clinical practices.
